ANA Synchro
(Synchronized Swim Team 6-19 Years)
New England’s #1 synchronized swimming team.
ANA Synchro is the competitive synchronized
swimming team of the YMCA’s Andover/North
Andover Branch. Synchronized swimming combines
music, dance and swimming into “the ultimate
team sport”. Through the artistry and athletics of
synchronized swimming and team competition, girls
build lifelong friendships and skills while developing
the confidence to dream big and pursue their goals.
The team embraces the Y core values of caring,
honestly, respect and responsibility to provide
a positive and character-building youth sports
experience. The team is open to girls ages 6 to
19, while offering multiple levels of instruction and
competition. For more information contact Head
Coach & Director of ANA Synchro Leah Pinette at
SEPTEMBER - JUNE
Hurricane Swimming (6-18 Years)
Hurricane Swimming is a USA and YMCA age
group swim club. We compete in local, regional
and national level meets. We offer novice,
intermediate and senior level training groups
where we emphasize stroke technique, goal setting
and personal growth through swimming. Parent
volunteerism is required at all meets. Many of our
swimmers participate year-round, but we do offer
opportunities for seasonal swimming. Our Short
Course season begins in early September and
continues through mid-March. Our Long Course
season begins in April and continues through early-
August.
Tryouts are held in August or September each year
at the Lawrence YMCA. There will also be individual
tryouts between March and June as needed.
Swimmers ages 9-18 who have working knowledge
of the four competitive strokes and diving are
welcome to try out. Swimmers 6-8 years old must
be proficient in freestyle, backstroke and diving in
order to try out.
For more information please contact Head Coach
and Director of Hurricane Swimming, Dan Reilly
at (978) 685-3541 or dreilly@mvymca.org. For
tryout and additional information, please visit
our team website: www.anahurricanes.org.
Register for programs online at mvymca.org or in person at the Welcome Center.
