1. Summarize of your instructional experience this week.
I lead sword drills in 5 th grade this week.
I taught two-thirds of each band period. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
I ran the full rehearsals of high school choir this week (Tuesday and Thursday).
I ran most of rehearsal in 8 th grade boys’ and girls’ handchimes.
I taught most of the full class times for 4 th , 5 th , and 6 th grade general music/choir.
2. List the methods, strategies, techniques or materials you used for the first time.
I used the whiteboard to write out and explain rhythms
I used a competition between several sections in band to encourage students to workshop specific portions
of the music.
I used a Powerpoint to reveal results for the above band competition
I used a rubric to grade the band competition.
3. What was your most significant accomplishment of the week? State your rationale.
