Lead song time successfully, keeping the students engaged and energetic.
Review the songs we learned last week: Deep and Wide feet version; Boomerang Song; Alive,
Alert, Awake

Begin with Prayer
Housekeeping: behavioral objectives (remind them that once they are in the classroom, they are on music
time. Expected to behave with self-control and not to disturb others or talk when I am teaching.)
Review the entire song that the class has learned so far. (will be sightreading the bottom part of
the second page)
o workshop whatever any area that is struggling by a capella parts practice
Teach the Tenor part for verse 1
“Colonel Bogey’s”—Kazoo part
o Review the second page:
• buzz it for them, one phrase at a time, having the class listen to my example
(watching the part on their music), then repeat it (basically by rote)
Objectives:
Learn the rest of the kazoo part.
Connect the first verse with the first kazoo verse.
Learn the first half of the men’s tenor part.
For Thursday:
review and focus on what I didn’t complete
entire tenor part for verse 1
