Great news for Bradford City this week came in
the form of a new signing, though it’s not a new
face.
After eight years away from the club, Yasmin
Ayub returns to the Bantams’ set-up.
A versatile asset who can play in the centre of
midfield or lead the front line, ‘Yaz’ came
through City’s junior set up but would leave the
club at the age of 19.
She joined Kirklees Ladies in 2009, who merged
with Brighouse Town in 2013. A stalwart in the
team, Ayub went on to become Town’s club
captain but could
not resist the
opportunity to
return to her
former club ahead
of the second half
of the season.
The 27-year-old is
in contention to
start this
afternoon, with
Ellie Olds missing
in midfield
through injury.
