MULLEN REACHES 60 VICTORIES
Dan Mullen’s fifth Egg Bowl victory was even sweeter as he became the third coach in school history
to reach 60 wins. Mullen is now the SEC’s second-longest current tenured head coach following
the departure of LSU’s Les Miles. Mullen has guided the Bulldogs to the winningest six-year
and two-year stretches in school history and he’s done it while playing in college football’s toughest
division. Mullen is just five wins shy of College Football Hall of Famer Allyn McKeen, who won
65 games in nine years. Mullen is in his eighth year and is coaching in his 103rd game in the St.
Petersburg Bowl. Only Jackie Sherrill (152) has coached in more MSU games than Mullen. Mullen
is the SEC’s second-winningest coach among current head coaches behind only Saban.
