Semitrailer damaged in attempted robbery
A semitrailer was damaged
at 12:03 p.m. in the
1900 block of Tower Drive
on Dec. 14.
The delivery trailer was
discovered cut through
with an unknown tool and
the metal towards the front
of the trailer was pulled
back. According Sgt.
James Foley, police are investigating
the possibility
the trailer was damaged in
an attempt to steal the merchandise
from inside.
The metal appeared not
to be pulled back enough
to enter the trailer and no
merchandise was reported
missing. The damage to
the structure of the trailer
was reported as $20,000.
After the incident, more
security lights have been
installed in the parking lot
of the property.

credit account using personal

• A check from a closed account
was present at 10:23
a.m. in the 1600 block of
Waukegan Road. The reported
loss is $3,500.
• A contract dispute occurred
at 11:11 a.m. in the
4600 block of Linden Avenue.
• Utility service was fraudulently
charged to an account
at 11:15 a.m. in the 900
block of Glenayre Drive.
The reported loss is $600.
• A customer fraudulently
received benefits at 11:30

• Unwanted telephone calls
were received at 11:30

calls from a person
who fraudulently identified
himself as a bank employee

• Two persons were discovered
at a business without
permission after police
responded to an alarm at
2:54 a.m. in the 1100 block
of Depot Street.
• A tire was removed from
a car at 7:20 a.m. in the 100
block of Parkview Avenue.
The reported loss is $200.
• A business was entered
without permission and
equipment was stolen at
8:30 a.m. in the 3200 block
of Glenview Road. The reported
loss is $3,500.
• Personal items were
stolen from a bag at 8:06
p.m. in the 1400 block of
Milwaukee Avenue. The
reported loss is $125.
Dec. 14
• A forged check was used
to withdrawal money from
a business account at 3:37
p.m. in the 4700 block of
Larch Avenue. The reported
loss is $4,000.
Dec. 13
• Carmicia Brewer, 26,
of Union City, Ga., was
charged with leaving the
scene of an accident, failure
to give aid or information,
and operating an
uninsured motor vehicle at
3:50 p.m. the 1700 block
of Milwaukee Avenue.
• Money was stolen from
a wallet left behind in a
room at 2:06 p.m. in the
2100 block of Patriot Blvd.
The reported loss is $120.
• A purse was stolen from
inside an unlocked vehicle
at 4:05 p.m. in the 1400

was scratched at 5:31 p.m.
