Now that Delray Beach is a rising star in the art, culture and social
scene, it might seem a little difficult to find affordable activities, shops
or restaurants. I am here to prove you wrong. Delray Beach offers a mix
of high-end boutiques with laid-back restaurants, and events for the
whole family or nightclubs for night owls. Here is what you can do in
Delray Beach in January for $50 or less.
Creativity feeds the soul and there’s
a pretty good chance that your
daily habits don’t do a lot to get
the juices flowing. The New Year is a
great time to regroup and focus on more
of what makes you happy, and if that includes
thinking outside the box, you’re in
luck. January is International Creativity
Month and you’re invited to attend the
28th Annual Downtown Delray Beach
Festival of the Arts. Held January 21 and
22, this art festival is a great way to enjoy
the outdoors, get together with friends,
and either pick up a few pieces for your
home or soak up the artistic aura of the
vendors for your own creative pleasure.
This juried art festival of hand-crafted
artwork includes glass, photography,
painting, mixed media, fiber, jewelry and
much more from hundreds of vendors.
As if it could get any better, the festival
is held from Federal Highway to A1A, so
enjoy strolling along the palm-tree lined
Avenue and taking some well needed pitstops
in the restaurants for a cool cocktail.
The Festival of the Arts is held 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. both days so that leaves you
plenty of green for filling up the creativity

a hair showcase by downtown boutiques
