the Bethesda & Christian Hill Sports<br />
Club Benjies Workshop Tape Ball 10<br />
overs Classic following their New<br />
Year’s Day performances.<br />
The final spot will be bagged by<br />
either hosts <strong>Caribbean</strong> Union Bank<br />
Bethesda and Pelican Safari East<br />
Side Breeze who both have one game<br />
left in the Classic.<br />
The first of the four games resulted<br />
in win for East Side Breeze by 9<br />
wickets when they went up against<br />
Auntie Sues Kitchen Herbert’s United.<br />
Herbert’s batted first and made 53<br />
for 3 from 6 overs.<br />
Bowling for East Side Breeze was<br />
Almond Peters who made 4 runs, 2<br />

The highly-anticipated<br />
Clash of the Champions<br />
showdown has been completely<br />
canceled after being<br />
postponed twice by the<br />
on again off again weather<br />
conditions over the past<br />
weekend.<br />
The competition was<br />
which was previously slated<br />
for Boxing Day was put<br />
back for the New Year’s<br />
Day holiday but was canceled<br />
all together due to the<br />
track not being in acceptable<br />
racing condition according<br />
to President of the<br />
wickets and a maiden in 2 overs.<br />
In reply East Side Breeze batted<br />
and made 54 for 1 from 3.1 overs.<br />
Batting for East Side Breeze Frederick<br />
Floyd made the most with 34.<br />
The second game saw a win for<br />
PMS over Dredgers. PMS batted first<br />
and made 82 for 6 from 10 overs.<br />
Topping the scores during the<br />
game was Deran Benta who made<br />
34 batting for PMS while bowling<br />
for Dredgers Melvin Charles made 2<br />
overs 2 wickets for 21 runs.<br />
In reply Dredgers batted and made<br />
48 for 5 from 10 overs. Batting for<br />
Dredgers, Baldwin Anthony made 21.<br />
Bowling for PMS, Kenny Benjamin<br />
made 2 overs 2wkts for 11 runs<br />
as PMS won by 34 runs.<br />
The third game saw a win for<br />
Brysons Future Stars who defeated<br />
Success Catering Buckleys 3J’ by 6<br />
wickets.<br />

wickets. Sisserou batted first and<br />
made 40 for 7 from 10 overs.<br />

and Winston Noble 2 overs wickets<br />
for 16 runs. In reply Bethesda batted<br />

Quartet receives FIFA badges<br />

The Antigua and Barbuda Football Association<br />
continues to welcome the new year<br />
on a good note by enhancing its skills and<br />
professionalism.<br />
This was achieved over the weekend on<br />
the resumption of the Association’s Premier<br />
Division on <strong>January</strong> 1st, where four officiators<br />
were bestowed with official FIFA badges.<br />
Referees Iola Simmons, Bryan Willett,<br />
Kerry Skepple and assistant referee Iroots<br />
Appleton were the proud recipients of the<br />
badges, which were handed over by President<br />
of the Association Everton Gonsalves.<br />
The quartet are expected to put their new<br />
skills into action during ongoing games in<br />
each Division of the ABFA <strong>2016</strong>/17 season.
