About the Museum The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
is an independent, nonprofit organization presenting exhibitions by local,
regional, national, and international artists. A permanent collection of over
5,000 works of art is maintained and enlarged through gifts and purchases.
The museum’s education department presents programs to increase public
understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary art.
Hours Museum hours are Tues–Thurs: noon–5; Fri: noon–8; Sat: 10–8;
and Sun: noon–5. The museum is closed on Mondays. Administrative offices
are open Mon–Fri: 9–5.
Accessibility Exhibitions, lectures, tours, and special events at the
Madison Museum of Contemporary Art are accessible to people with
disabilities. Please contact the museum at 608.257.0158 regarding accommodations
for persons with limited mobility, sight, or hearing. Relay Service
