Parent Teacher Association; Wednesday
15th, Love. Life. No Satnav, is about a
young man’s experience of autism; and on
Saturday 25th, Burton, presents the life of
Richard Burton.
Music: Sunday 5th, Fairport Convention;
Saturday 11th, singer/pianist Anthony
Strong and his band; Sunday 19th, Andy
Fairweather-Low and the Low Riders;
Friday 24th, Café Manouche jazz and
swing band.
Comedy: Friday 10th, John Shuttleworth’s
farewell tour.
Lunchtime lecture: Friday 24th, Out of
Africa, a talk and film with Dr Jane
Mackay.

Your community radio station
The last few weeks have been eventful
ones for Lincoln City Radio (LCR).
When our landlords told us in September
that they were moving within three
months the news triggered a frantic
search for new premises. Setting up new
studios from scratch is not an easy task,
particularly when everyone involved is
a volunteer, and there was a justifiable
sense of achievement when the move
happened in December without a single
lost minute of airtime and with substantial
improvements to the facilities.
LCR now operates from Oak House on
Waterside South in Lincoln. We broadcast
on 103.6fm 24 hours a day, seven days a
week to an area within a 15 mile radius
of our transmitter on the top of Lincoln
Cathedral. If you haven’t listened to
our mix of pre-1990 popular music,
live interviews, local information and
specialist music shows, there’s no time
like the present. Go on, give it a try.

pleased to hear from anyone interested in
helping out as a volunteer. No experience
of radio is necessary and we would like
