JOURNEY TO AGORTALA, INDIA Laishram Lanchenba Singha Class II - Tulips My family and I went to Agartala. We started our journey from Dhaka by bus (Shamoli Paribahan). We reached Bangladesh Immigration at 1:30 p.m. and crossed the border and passed the India Immigration at 2:30p.m. After half an hour we reached Agartala. From the bus station we went to our uncle's friend house. We took lunch at our uncle's friend house. Then we THE PEOPLE OF NAGALAND Zara Mahin Miah Class II - Tulips Nagaland is a small state of India. In this state there are many hills and rivers. These hills are covered with dense forests. The people of Nagaland are called Nagas. The Nagas live mostly in villages. The Nagas like to eat rice and fish. went to our uncle’s village at Dhaka Bari. Most interesting is Dhaka Bari people from Monipuri Para, Dhaka. They settled in Agartala in 1965. Next two days, we visited Agartala King's palace, zoo, temples and fair etc. We enjoyed with our relatives in Agartala very much. Then next day, we left Agartala for Dhaka, Bangladesh. They also eat pork and rice-beer. The Nagas wear colorful dresses and costumes. They are carefree and cheerful. They are fond of dancing and singing. SFXGHIS YEARBOOK 2015-2016 111
A VISIT TO MUMBAI Aindrila Biswas Class II - Tulips We had an opportunity to visit Mumbai. It is the commercial capital of India. The city is old and beautiful. It is located on the Arabian Sea. I along with my parents flew MY PET CAT Joyoprova Class II - Tulips I have a pet cat. Its name is Minnie. It's white and grey in colour. It has lovely green eyes. It is very soft and furry. It eats fish and drinks milk. It plays with me when I come back from school. It likes to play with ball in the garden. It loves me and shows its love by licking me when I come back from my school. It sleeps in a small basket near my bed. I love my pet very much and take care of it. SFXGHIS YEARBOOK 2015-2016 to Mumbai from Dhaka. We stayed in a very good hotel. We saw the house of Tendulkar and the big khan. The visit was short but very pleasant. 112
