About UEGF – the voice of European Gastroenterology
UEGF is the most comprehensive European Gastroenterological organization and its federated structure
incorporates professional societies with the scope from general gastroenterological medicine, surgery and
endoscopy to focused organ-oriented and special interest associations. To manage and promote the UEGF
mission and goals UEGF has set up an effi cient organizational structure:

General Assembly – is the highest authority of the Federation and is composed of the delegates of the

Scientifi c Committee – the administrative body to develop the scientifi c core programme of UEGW
Education Committee – the administrative body to initiate and support high-quality educational training
Public Affairs Committee – the administrative body to promote the specialty at a public and political level
UEGF Secretariat – based in Vienna to support all UEGF boards and their activities.
