Michael Brown graduated from
Clinton High School with the Class of
2003. Michael accredits his educational
foundation to Clinton High School. He
built upon his educational foundation
at Stanford University, which gave him a
great perspective by immersing him in an
area and a culture that Michael explains to
be “significantly different than the world
I had known. It forced me to learn who I
was and who I wanted to be.”
Then, Michael attended physical therapy
school which provided him with a focused
skill set he would use to pursue his
profession. Today, Michael lives in Oxford,
Mississippi where he works as a physical
therapist at the University of Mississippi.
Michael says, “I think each step along my
education path provided different pieces
to help guide me to where I am today.”
Annaclaire Wilbanks Tadlock
graduated from Clinton High School
with the Class of 2009. She played for the
Lady Arrow soccer team and participated
in Attache’ show choir, with whom she
traveled to Nashville every year to host
a competition at the Grand Ole Opry.
During such trips she always told her
friends, “I’m going to live here one day.”
Annaclaire’s dream came true as today
she and her husband call Nashville their
home. Annaclaire works as the director
of marketing at The Johnny Cash
Museum. She says, “I would have never
had the drive to move here if it was not
for Clinton High and the opportunities
they present to each student.” Annaclaire
also finds comical irony in the fact that
one of her first duets in Attache’ was
the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash
song “Jackson.” Annaclaire says, “I am so
thankful to have been apart of a school
that, for years, has been one of the best
school districts in the state. There is
something special about CHS and I think
everyone who has been a part of it can
see that.”
Philip Gunn graduated from Clinton
High School with the Class of 1981. With
gratitude to the Clinton school system
and its outstanding teachers, Philip says,
“The quality of the education I received
in Clinton was second to none.” His
involvement with student government
and athletics taught him to work well with
others, which Philip says, “is a vital part of
the role I have now.” Philip Gunn serves
as the Speaker of the Mississippi House
of Representatives in addition to being
an attorney.
