CULTURAL CENTER SUMMER SERIES
ANNOUNCED (cont.)
with the Railroad Concert Series featuring musicians offering up a heady mix of
bluegrass, Americana and folk (think The Secret Sisters and My Girl My Whiskey and
Me) each Friday night in May. Summer will also feature an expanded Beachin’ Fridays
Series, featuring local bands performing your favorite beach hits.
And of course, it wouldn’t be summer without Mauldin’s Downtown Farmer’s Market.
Running every Saturday morning, June through August, the market will feature
delicious produce, fresh baked goods, and crafty wares. And the best part? It’s all
local! Visit www.mauldinculturalcenter.org for more details on upcoming events.
IN THE MEDIA
City and county officials
welcomed the development
of a new, affordable housing
project. The more than 2
acre-lot will be home to
nine buildings, including 18
townhomes. The project,
planned in conjunction
with the Greenville County
Redevelopment Authority
serves as a way to bring a
mixed-income, workingclass
to Mauldin.
Appearing in a musical, a
public speaking engagement
and achieving As and Bs at
school are just some of the
highlights of the past year
for Isaiah Custodio, the
Mauldin teen who suffered
a rare brain hemorrhage in
September 2015. “Things
are not easy, but they’re still
good,” Isaiah’s mom said.
“We’re thankful he is where
he is.”
your Christmas tree now
that the holidays are over?
The City of Mauldin is
hosting a tree recycle
The City will handle it from
