S. F. HOSTS PEACE OFFICERS
San Francisco will entertain law enforcement
officers from all over California
upon the occasion of the 37th Annual
Conference of the Peace Officers' Association
of the State of California.
Chief Frank Ahern is official host to his
brother officers who will meet May 27th,
28th and 29th with the St. Francis Hotel
as headquarters and engage in three days
of constructive sesions interspersed with
sightseeing trips and entertainment fashioned
upon the usual warm hospitality of
the city by the Golden Gate.
Pre-convention activities include registration
at the St. Francis on May 26th,
and a reception at the Press and Union
League Club hosted by the Chief Special
Agents' Association of Northern California.
Simultaneously, the Women Peace Officers'
Association of California will convene
for its 13th Annual conference.
The first men's geenral session on Monday,
May 27th, in the Colonial Room of
the Hotel, will feature an address of wel -
come by Mayor George Christopher of
San Francisco and the introduction of distinguished
guests by the convention host,
Chief Ahern.
