The Pho<strong>en</strong>ixsee is an artificial lake on a<br />
former industrial steal factory located in<br />
Pho<strong>en</strong>ix-East in Dortmund. Around the<br />
lake grew an interesting area for resid<strong>en</strong>tial<br />
estate and recreation. So naturally, the<br />
playgrounds evolve thematically around<br />
the mythical creature. They have be<strong>en</strong><br />
planned by the office BSL in Duisburg<br />
and constructed by SIK-Holz®. No matter<br />
where you look either in the nest of the<br />
pho<strong>en</strong>ix, the pho<strong>en</strong>ix colony or during the<br />
flight of the pho<strong>en</strong>ix, the firebird is never<br />
to be se<strong>en</strong> -only its tracks.
