In addition to the equipm<strong>en</strong>t that is assigned to each play<br />
and experi<strong>en</strong>tial area during the planning phase, there are<br />
also items that can be in several of the areas or placed in<br />
betwe<strong>en</strong> areas.<br />
A table and chairs set can for example be used for<br />
an activity, for board games or for eating meals outdoors.<br />
The educator or visitors also need a place to sit down and<br />
watch the childr<strong>en</strong>. Seating arrangem<strong>en</strong>ts can also have a<br />
thematic design that stimulates role play. Games such as<br />
musical chairs are suitable for group activity. If a podium<br />
is added a small theatre area can be created. Many group<br />
activities can be organised here. Seating groups, for example,<br />
can be positioned at the edge of the play area or<br />
planned as their own separate area; whichever best suits<br />
your purposes.<br />
In addition to seating, roofing and shade also play<br />
an important role in the outdoors design of a kindergart<strong>en</strong>.<br />
Summer, sun and playground all go together.<br />
