expert-escorted culinary tour lets you experience it all.<br />

Day 1, Palermo: Arrive at Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa on your own. Late<br />

afternoon, meet your Tour Manager who is also a culinary expert, and<br />

head off to investigate Palermo’s Vucciria market. Tonight’s dinner is at<br />

a select restaurant that uses fresh, local ingredients. Overnight stay. (D)<br />

Day 2, Palermo – Monreale: A mid-morning walking tour to take-in the<br />

local street food before departing for Monreale. A locally-guided tour<br />

of its golden mosaic-covered cathedral. Next to Menfi and check in at<br />

Foresteria Planeta for a 3-night stay. Cocktails and a four-course<br />

dinner with Planeta wines, a perfect ending to your day!<br />

Day 3, Selinunte – Portopalo: Today, you can prepare your lunch with<br />

a hands-on pasta-making class. During the afternoon is a locally-guided<br />

tour of Europe’s largest archaeological park in Selinunte. Dinner is<br />

at the nearby Portopalo beach restaurant renowned for its fish. (B,L,D)<br />

Day 4, Sambuca: Depart for Sambuca with a stop at the Palermo<br />

Brothers sheep farm to sample their excellent ricotta. Next is Lake<br />

Arancio and the Planeta Ulmo vineyard and winery with a tour and<br />

wine-tasting. Return to the hotel for dinner. (B, D, Tastings)<br />

Day 5, Agrigento – Noto: Depart for Agrigento and enjoy a<br />

locally-guided tour of its Doric temples where you’ll enjoy a cocktail<br />

and buffet lunch. Then to the Baroque splendour of Noto to sample<br />

Cassata and Granita, Sicilian pastries. Check in at your hotel for a<br />

buffet dinner and a 2-night stay. (B, L, D)<br />

Day 6, Modica – Ragusa: Today starts with Modica, well-known for<br />

chocolates, with a stop at Bonajuto’s chocolate factory for a tasting.<br />

Tour Ragusa’s Ibla center and sample the town’s Ragusano DOP cheese.<br />

An early-evening visit to a winery ends with wine-tasting accompanied<br />

Day 7, Taormina – Mount Etna: Start in Taormina with a locally-guided<br />

tour of its ancient Greek theatre. Lunch at the Barone di Villagrande<br />

Estate with a tasting of their wines. Check-in to hotel and later dinner.<br />

Your hotel’s sommelier will select from their prize-winning Etna wines for<br />

before travelling to nearby Monreale to visit the Cathedral, now<br />

declared a UNESCO site. Enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at<br />

the Principi di Corleone Winery, before your drive to Cafelù. Check-in<br />

at La Plumeria, a refurbished medieval building located in the centre of<br />

Day 2, Cafelù: A private 2-hour guided walking tour of this coastal<br />

town. Cefalù is one of the major attractions in the Region and goes<br />

back to 400B.C. with traces of the Roman period still evident. The town<br />
