Adams Point<br />
North <strong>Oakland</strong>/Adams Point lies south of Berkeley, east of<br />
Emeryville, north and west of Grand Avenue and west of<br />
Piedmont. It includes the MacArthur and Rockridge BART<br />
stations and the Rockridge, Temescal, Koreatown/Northgate<br />
(KONO), Grand Lake and Piedmont Avenue commercial<br />
districts. This area has nearly twice the average citywide<br />
sidewalk density. Nearly half of residents are white and just<br />
14% live below the federal poverty line. A few North <strong>Oakland</strong><br />
intersections and corridors–mostly on Telegraph Avenue<br />
–are among the City’s High Injury Network. Additionally,<br />
underpasses at Highway 24 and I-980 have limited lighting<br />
for pedestrians.<br />
