Golfing for Charity
To extend the reach of the annual CA Golf Day for
Children’s Charities across the province, a number of DAs
hold local charity golf events to complement the Torontobased
Institute event. Below are highlights of a few of the
2009 events.
Essex-Kent

The Essex-Kent CA Association raised $5,000 for the John
McGivney Children’s Centre at its 8th Annual Charity Golf
Tournament held on Thursday, May 28. A total of 63 golfers
participated in the Texas scramble at Kingsville Golf and
Country Club.

The Hamilton District CA Association’s 2009 Children’s
Charity CA Golf Day was another great success. The 2009
tournament was held on June 2 at Dundas Valley Golf &
Country Club and raised an impressive $15,000 for the
McMaster Children’s Hospital.
The Hamilton DA is very proud to have raised $53,000 over
the past six years for this deserving charity and would like
to thank all of the sponsors and golfers who made this
event possible.

Join your local DA
Membership in your local DA is completely voluntary. While
your area of residence will ordinarily determine which local
DA you would join, members are welcome at any DA event.
CAs living in the central Toronto area are invited to become
a member of any adjacent DA, particularly Etobicoke,
North York, and Scarborough.
