The Cottages of Lake St. Louis, a Chesterfield
Chamber of Commerce member
and Missouri’s first Green House project,
held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and
open house on Friday, April 7. The Green
House model is considered a new approach
to short-term rehabilitation and skilled
nursing. The community is built as a neighborhood
of cottages. All cooking is done in
an open concept kitchen of each resident’s
home, wake-up times are natural, rather
than scheduled; and residents are encouraged
to set their own schedules and pursue
their own interests.

J.D. Power has announced that Shelter
Insurance ranked “Highest in Customer
Satisfaction among Auto Insurers in the
Central Region” on its U.S. Auto Insurance
Study. This study asked customers to
provide feedback about their overall satisfaction
with their auto insurance company
in the following study factors: interaction,
policy offerings, price, billing process and
policy information and claims. Shelter
Insurance is represented by Steve Downs
in West St. Louis County.

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery presented Sen.
Jill Schupp, of Creve Coeur, with its Legislator
of the Year award for championing
legislation to train educators how to spot
signs of suicide; instituting paid family and
medical leave; and protecting children in
unlicensed daycare settings. She received
the award during Crisis Nursery’s Razzle
Dazzle ‘ROAR: Reach Out And Rescue’
gala. Schupp is a long-standing member of
the Crisis Nursery’s Advisory Board.

Ballwin resident Tim Barringhaus,
senior vice president and team leader at
Enterprise Bank & Trust, was selected to
oversee the correspondent banking and
agricultural lending divisions in addition
to his current responsibilities. Prior to joining
Enterprise Bank & Trust, Barringhaus
worked for U.S. Bank as a vice president,
relationship manager in the correspondent
banking division and at Edward Jones,
where he was a limited partner in the banking
services division.
