Objective<br />
The Centre aims at enhancing the global competiveness of Hong Kong through innovative teaching,<br />
fundamental research and the application of cutting edge technologies in the areas of advanced materials<br />
sciences and engineering covering materials design & simulation, surface & interface technology, structureproperty<br />
relationships, and biomedical, functional, energy, composite, and smart materials and the structures<br />
made of these materials. In addition, the endeavors of the Centre also go to energy conversion, product design<br />
and development, and the related technology innovation.<br />
