TRANE EarthWise TM Systems
TRANE Supports EarthWise TM Systems
An EarthWiseTM System uses state-of-the-art Trane products, systems and controls to optimize performance.
This includes the ability to balance installed cost and operating cost while improving comfort, indoor air quality, and acoustics. EarthWiseTM Systems provide
high efficiency/low emissions performance over the entire lifetime of the building; performance that can be proven via advanced documentation.
Green Seal Certification
Trane offers EarthWiseTM CenTraVac Centrifugal Chillers with Green Seal Certification. Green Seal certifies products based on a life-cycle
approach, ensuring that all significant environmental impacts of a product are considered, from raw materials extraction and manufacturing
to use and disposal. If all new centrifugal chillers matched the energy efficiency of Trane’s EarthWiseTM Green Seal Certified HCFC-123
chiller the environmental benefit would equate to planting 1.4 million trees each year for the next 23 years. If all new centrifugal chillers
matched the energy efficiency of Trane’s EarthWiseTM matched the energy efficiency of Trane s EarthWise HCFC-123 HCFC 123 chiller: reduce annual power plant emissions of CO2 by 777 million tons, tons
eliminate about 250,000 pounds of SO2 annually, eliminate one million pounds of NOx annually.
