A Letter From Gary Watts 

As Watts Group celebrates 39 years of real estate leadership in the 

Corridor, our team is overflowing with gratitude. The grand opening 

of our Oakdale Boulevard headquarters is an exciting new chapter 

as our company expands into the future. 

My real estate journey began in 1978, when gas was 63 cents per 

gallon, the comic strip Garfield made its debut and the Boston 

Celtics drafted a young player named Larry Bird. In those days, the 

average cost of a new home was around $55,000 and apartment 

rent was about $260 a month—times sure have changed!

Throughout his 39 years in the 

industry, Gary Watts has consistently 

pushed himself to advance in the 

real estate profession. 

Gary earned his real estate license in 1978 and started as a 

broker listing and selling properties in Johnson County. He then 

branched into development with the Arlington Development 

Company in the early 1990s. His first subdivision was Windsor 

Ridge, which started as approximately 200 acres and now houses

The 6,200-square-foot headquarters provides twice the
