61. 20<strong>16</strong>-17 Changemaker Week: Rohini Nilekeni, founder of Arghayam, Anshoo Gupta,<br />

founder of the NGO Goonj, and Shaheen Mistri, Founder of Teach for India, inaugurated<br />

the Changemaker Week, on social entrepreneurship, organized by the Masters<br />

Departments of Political Science and Communication, <strong>SJC</strong>, in collaboration with Ashoka<br />

Innovators for the Public and Deccan Herald.<br />

63. Guest Lecture by Dr. Christian Wagner, Titled : 'Terrorism in South Asia.' Dr Christian<br />

Wagner is Senior Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs<br />

(SWP), Berlin.<br />

the occasion of World Refugee Day, the Master's Department of Political Science. It was<br />

led by Prof. D. Jeevan Kumar, Department of Political Science, Bangalore University,<br />

UG, PG students are given opportunities to present their assignment topics as PPT<br />

presentation in class<br />

34. How does the department ensure that programme objectives are constantly met and<br />

learning outcomes monitored?<br />

Teaching methodologies, nature of assignments, and presentations done in class ensure that<br />

the learning objectives are met as much as possible. Student response in examinations and<br />

assignments, participation in intercollegiate competitions and winning awards indicate to their<br />

learning the subject. Their ability to secure internships and complete them successfully<br />

indicates that the objectives are being met. The successful completion of PG student‘s<br />

dissertation indicates their ability to carry out independent research.<br />

35.Highlight the participation of students and faculty in extension activities.<br />

All students attend the college Outreach Program. Industrial visits are organized to visit<br />

Toyota factory, Nandini Dairy KMF, GKVK campus.<br />
