Flowers are a subject that serves people in many ways. Some people grow them for shows and exhibits, others just for pleasure. Other people might not have the opportunity, space or desire to grow flowers, but even they will look at a well groomed garden or border. I love to take many different subjects, but when that spark of inspiration departs there is one subject that is all around me that attracts the attention of the lens …. Flowers. The main attraction is really the stunning variety of colour and form, scent is also important for me, but you can’t photograph a scent and expect to convey its sweetness in the picture. But we try, and will keep trying to get the image ‘just so’ to allow the viewers senses to imagine the sweetness of the flower. Website = photosociety.net Page 11 email = magazine@photosociety.net
