This series of images was taken on Cape Cod, MA, USA by Patricia earlier this year. The Osprey is a bird<br />
of prey that feed almost exclusively of fish<br />
The osprey (Pandion haliaetus) is also known as the fish eagle, sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk it is a<br />
fish-eating bird of prey and is classed as a medium raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and<br />
180 cm (71 in) across the wings. Brown on the upperparts and generally grey/white on the head and<br />
underparts.<br />
The osprey frequents a wide variety of habitats, nesting in any location near water providing an adequate<br />
food supply. It is found on all continents except Antarctica.<br />
