Mystical Philosophy of Universal Consciousness<br />
separate entities, not realizing that they are all parts of a whole organism. Even as you breath air<br />
you are communing with the atmosphere. As you breath, minute particles of your lungs leave<br />
your body through the breath and go into the atmosphere. This happens to all beings on earth.<br />
Thus as you breath you are ingesting the particles of the bodies of other people from your<br />
community and from around the world since the world atmosphere carries particles across the<br />
world in a short time. Further, you are communing with the cosmic particles of dust which have<br />
traveled across the universe into the earth’s atmosphere .<br />
Modern medical science and genetics reveal that while human beings appear to be different<br />
on the surface (sex, race, etc.) in reality all human beings are remarkably alike. They make use of<br />
the same food and their bodies are made up of the same substances although these are arranged<br />
in slightly different ways. Skin coloration is mostly a difference based on the arrangement of<br />
pigmentation in the skin. Some people have more and some less but all have it in varying<br />
quantities, therefore all are in reality the same.<br />
Sexuality is another example. Upon close examination, men and women are found to possess<br />
the same organs although arranged slightly differently and exhibiting different emphasis on<br />
certain levels of development. For example, the male penis has its counterpart in the female<br />
clitoris, the male testicles in the female ovaries and the male prostate with the female uterus. It is<br />
this understanding of the oneness of the androgynous nature which underlies male and female<br />
human bodies which is at the heart of Tantric philosophy. When this understanding is reached<br />
and integrated in the human heart it constitutes an extension (Tantra) from limited consciousness<br />
based on a sexual (dualistic) understanding to an awareness of the non-duality which is the<br />
ultimate reality. Thus while <strong>sexuality</strong> exists as a practical reality of life the practitioner of Tantra<br />
discovers the a-<strong>sexuality</strong> of existence as well, thereby expanding in consciousness to encompass<br />
all (<strong>sexuality</strong> and androgyny, duality and non-duality, etc.)<br />
Many more examples could be given. The point is that the true identity of a human being is<br />
not sexual, not the body, mind, senses or anything which is in the realm of time and space<br />
because the realm of time and space is the realm of duality and illusion. Sexuality is only an<br />
expression of the personality based on an emphasis of the spirit which has tended toward a pole<br />
within the range of human consciousness (male-polarity, female polarity). Human existence is<br />
based on the karmic desires of an individual soul which is expressed within the limits allowed by<br />
the genetic basis of the organism. This means that the spirit can express as the DNA of the<br />
particular life form allows it to. These limits are divinely ordained and this is why they follow set<br />
rules (cosmic law-MAAT). Thus the spirit can manifest (incarnate) as a male or female within<br />
the given species. This is the range of expression which is allowed by the Divine Will which<br />
created and supports all life in the universe.<br />
Simply stated, the spirit operates through the genes and is limited to the modes of expression<br />
which are dictated by the genes which fall within the range of either male at one extreme or<br />
female at the other. However, human beings are in reality the same essential being. In other<br />
words, all human beings are of the self-same nature. This factor becomes most evident when the<br />
egoistic feelings and sentiments of desire are cleansed from the heart. When this occurs the<br />
underlying unity which supports the appearance of duality, which expresses as <strong>sexuality</strong>,<br />
becomes most evident. These are only a few examples out of hundreds which can be presented to<br />
