In addition to these parks visitors should make a<br />
point to visit all the other beautiful parks and<br />
reserves while in Kenya as they offer an array of<br />
unique safari experiences. Some of these<br />
other locations include: Aberdare National Park,<br />
Amboseli National Park, Hell’s Gate National<br />
Park, Meru National Park, Mount Kenya National<br />
Park, Mount Longonot National Park, Sibiloi<br />
National Park, Samburu National Reserve and<br />
Shimba Hills National Reserve among several<br />

metres above sea level. Its beautiful snow- capped<br />
peaks make it stand out and with its three highest<br />
peaks Nelion, Batian and Point Lenana, Mount<br />

Rift Valley<br />
There are also several animal conservancies and<br />
sanctuaries scattered across the country which<br />
serve as beautiful destinations for tourists to<br />
observe a number of endangered or dwindling<br />
species. Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia and<br />
Lewa Conservancy at the foot of Mount Kenya are<br />
geared toward black rhino conservation while the<br />
David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi<br />
rehabilitates orphaned elephants and rhinos. These<br />
sanctuaries are innumerable and can be explored<br />
by the curious tourist.<br />
Mountains, Valleys and hills<br />
One of the most beautiful physical phenomena,<br />
the Great Rift Valley is home to some of the<br />
largest, deepest and oldest lakes in the world<br />
including Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru. The<br />
valley also hosts some volcanic mountains such as<br />
Mount Longonot. The valley offers stunning views<br />
and you can take beautiful pictures<br />
from any of the view points along the Nairobi-<br />
Naivasha highway.<br />
