Kenya not only offers a natural beauty but is also<br />

rich in history and culture. Those tourists curious<br />

explore the various museums and monuments on<br />

Nairobi National Museum<br />

The Nairobi National Museum houses celebrated<br />

collections of Kenyan history, culture and art.<br />

In addition to the educational value offered at the<br />

museum, visitors can relax in the botanical<br />

gardens and take a walk to the snake park<br />

available in the area. Visiting the Museum is a<br />

fantastic afternoon activity for those looking to<br />

Fort Jesus<br />

Located in the Nairobi City centre, Uhuru Gardens<br />

is the largest memorial park in Kenya. Named for<br />

the Swahili word for freedom ‘Uhuru’, the park is<br />

home to monuments that commemorate the<br />

independence of the country. Residents go to this<br />

park to relax as well as enjoy a jog over the<br />

weekends. A picnic in Uhuru Gardens is a common<br />

soldiers and converted to a prison when the British<br />

colonized the area. Today it is a museum visited by<br />

historically curious tourists from all over the world.<br />
