GET READY FOR SUMMER...<br />
Woodhall Spa’s Jubilee Park, opened 80 years ago,<br />
is thriving & looking forward to a busy summer.<br />
The heated open air swimming pool has added extra<br />
early morning adult only swims, midnight swims and<br />
film/late night swims in partnership with the Kinema<br />
as well as sessions with inflatables and aquacise<br />
and swimming lessons to its expanding schedule.<br />
There are also a number of special events in the<br />
park throughout the summer for everyone to enjoy.<br />
Visitors will notice the newly planted a rose gardens<br />
and other ongoing improvements<br />
After just a year, the charitable company Jubilee Park<br />
Woodhall Spa Ltd (JPWS,) which runs the facility,<br />
has broken even and initiated a raft of new support<br />
ideas and proposals for all sections of the community,<br />
including the Royal Jubilee Project where businesses<br />
offer a product or service that automatically generates<br />
a donation to Jubilee Park-look out for a crown<br />
symbol in shop windows. These will help the park to<br />
thrive while long term plans to refurbish and upgrade<br />
the facilities are put into place.<br />

1935 Royal Jubilee Park and swimming pool built<br />
and opened.<br />
1947-74 Jubilee Park owned and run by Woodhall<br />
Spa Urban District Council.<br />
1960 Major refurb of swimming pool by UDC.<br />
1974 Local Government re-organisation, newly<br />
formed East Lindsey District Council takes it over.<br />
1993-6 Local Mothers & Toddlers group raised<br />
money to save & refurbish the children’s play area.<br />
2011 Jubilee Park returned to local council<br />
ownership and management.<br />
2012 New swimming pool funded by East Lindsey<br />
District Council.<br />
2013 New play area installed, refurbished caravan<br />
amenity block opened.<br />
2014 Jubilee Park becomes a community park run<br />
by registered charity Jubilee Park Woodhall Spa Ltd.<br />
<strong>2015</strong> Supporters group Friends of Jubilee Park<br />
merges with Jubilee Park Woodhall Spa to form a<br />
single organisation to manage and support the park.<br />
