HANDS ON FUN
AT COUNTRYSIDE
SHOW
Only a couple of months ago
we were all wondering how we
would entertain the children
during Easter half term.
RUDDOCKS
OF LINCOLN
We advised you to take a
trip to Countryside Lincs for
a fun filled family day out &
it seems that you followed
our lead. Despite the rain
pouring down around 1000
visitors came along –
evidently the British weather
doesn’t put us off! Luckily
we were situated inside &
were amongst many other
exciting stalls. We browsed
what they had to offer…
There were felting
demonstrations on a local
Alpaca stall & we liked
them that much that we
now stock the wool & felt
in-store! Hartsholme Park
were Willow Weaving &
you were able to roll
your own candle at
the beekeeping stall.
Wow!
A fishing stand displaying
different types of equipment
was also there & so there
really was something for
everyone. There was much
more on offer including
tractor displays & farmyard
animals to get hands
on with. What was your
favourite animal? The cute
little chicks were ours!
Cooking
demonstrations
went down a storm
but unfortunately we
didn’t get a chance to
sneak any tasters as we were
too busy running our very
own exciting activities. We
had a Bug Dig, Rag Rugging,
Decopatch...the list goes on!
Decopatch was our most
popular activity with children
flooding in to create their
very own rainbow patchwork
animal. With some great
designs these animals then
went to new loving homes.
We like a happy ending!
Countryside Lincs was a
fantastic day out which we
were very pleased to have
been a part of. Learning
through hands on creative
activity is important for
children & Countryside Lincs
showcased this.
