SPORTBALL OUTDOOR<br />

SOCCER<br />

Sportball coaches develop<br />

competence and confidence<br />

on the field in Sportball soccer<br />

classes. Children are taught the<br />

fundamental skills necessary<br />

to excel in soccer. Skills include<br />

throw-ins, dribbling, trapping,<br />

passing, goalie skills and<br />

more. Classes are dedicated<br />

to skills development and<br />

putting those skills to work in<br />

an exciting, non-competitive<br />

game. For safety reasons,<br />

parents are required to remain<br />

at the field during classes.<br />

Participants are introduced<br />

to fundamental concepts of<br />

gameplay and are provided<br />

the basic skills required to<br />

score with confidence in a<br />

supportive, non-competitive<br />

environment. The first half<br />

of the program zeroes in<br />

on soccer skills including:<br />

throw-ins, dribbling, trapping,<br />

passing, goalie skills and<br />

more. The second half of<br />

the program helps children<br />

develop T-ball/baseball skills<br />

such as throwing, catching,<br />

correct batting form, running<br />

bases, fielding and positional<br />

play. Trained, certified Sportball<br />

Coaches guide parents<br />

and children to apply their<br />

dedicated instruction in fun,<br />

exciting, skills-focused games.<br />

physical skills and helps them<br />

to develop confidence in their<br />

abilities. The programs also<br />

help adults understand proven<br />

teaching techniques that can<br />

be applied outside of Sportball<br />

classes. Children are taught the<br />

fundamental skills necessary to<br />

excel in soccer and put those<br />

skills to work in an exciting,<br />

non-competitive game.<br />

associated with seven core<br />

sports (soccer, tennis, baseball,<br />

basketball, volleyball, golf and<br />

football), along with games,<br />

songs, stories, bubbles and<br />

activities. Children end the<br />

class with structured waterplay<br />

activities led by their Sportball<br />

Coach plus a fun and creative<br />

exploration of the wading pool<br />

in the park.<br />
