Education is one of the most important part of a man’s
life other than sports and without knowledge nothing can
be done in any field. Even in sports you need knowledge
as you need to know how to play a game to play it well.
Education also helps in various other things coping
with pressure which can be helpful in a lot of situation.
Education plays a very important role in development
of personality, building a skilled workforce, building
the economy and giving a person a scientific outlook.
India also lags behind in this. India’s net attendance
ratio and literacy ratio is very less. Well there are many
acts you can say, but it’s not being implemented. In
other developed countries education is compulsory.
And also from an young age, kids are encouraged to
develop a keen interest in the subjects. Also they use
devices like smart boards, conduct educational trips
frequently and do various other things to make learning
fun. Now talking about development of India, India
has one of the worst economy due to its population.
Because of population there are less job opportunities
and as there are less job opportunities, there is poverty
and due to poverty there is a large number of people
below the poverty line. India’s GDP is 28000 whereas
USA’s is 1,43,000. In America having a car doesn’t
mean that you are rich but in India it does. These facts
helps me prove my point. This is due to Indian parents
pushing kids to take up only sports or only education.
Taking up both helps us have many career options like
the NDA where after graduating, you become an officer
and also if there are no jobs available in India, you can
also migrate to other cities looking for a job or maybe you
can start your own business. There are plenty of acts for
that to happen in India like Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana.
In my dream, India peace in the society is a must as
peace is a part of the definition of being healthy. “Health is
a state of physical mental and social soundness. Peace
can also generate number of society loving people which
stops them from going into terrorist organisations. Peace
is interlinked with discipline and a good example of this is
that in New Zealand, the rules are so strict that once you
commit a crime, you are punished very harshly. They
arrest you for even small things, due to which people
living in New Zealand can attain peace and there are
less terrorist threats. New Zealand is the country with
the least no. of citizens who join terrorist organisations.
Heath is a place where I am very proud of India as
India produces the most no. of doctors in the world. But
the bitter truth is that most of them are corrupt doctors and
do a lot of malpractices. For example doctors sometimes
give the wrong prescriptions, they sometimes try to

gain money from you, taking advantage on your lack
of knowledge on Health and medicine. Sometimes they
sell your kidney or other organs without your knowledge.
They constitute a large majority in the number of doctors.
Also cleanliness of a country can affect your health as
it is linked to various diseases like Malaria, dengue
etc. due to this the average life expectancy of a person
living in India is just 63 while in Japan it’s 80 years.
Cleanliness is very bad in India. You can understand
this from the above points. The reasons for this are
neglect of Indians. A lot of Indians don’t follow the
rules. If India was like Spain a person urinating or
spitting could be caught by police and put in jail.
Due to this they have more average life expectancy
than India. The Swatch Bharat campaigns have
started in India. Let’s wait and see what happens.
Technology is bad in India, you see in other
countries and compare it with India you would get
ashamed. In case of weapons, India is bad. I have
seen in a movie where I heard a dialogue on weapons
“It is better to be respected or be feared. I say it’s a
bit of both” well India is behind in these factors too.
My India will become my dream country if they get
developed in these aspects. Now I am going to try my
best to make this happen but my question is are you?

Ending Violence
towards Women

Work ended late that day. Hurriedly, she picked her
bag and ran downstairs. The clock ticked 10 p.m. Calls
flooded her phone. Her dupatta swept the floor as she
whizzed out of the door. Now began the challenge.
She walk back home. Shadows frightened her. Voices
hissed at a distance. Crazy drivers brushed their Omnis
near enough to startle her. Holding her breath, with a
racing heart, blind to her surroundings, deaf to unfriendly
sounds, she ran home.
Indeed, this is a situation all we Indian women can
relate to and term as “the miseries of womankind.”
Laws came to promote socialism. “Men and women
are equal before law” it said. But is it so in reality ?
Women have always been subjects of beastly acts
of violence. From verbal abuse to physical and sexual
atrocities, women are targets. In order to showcase
superiority over petty issues women are targets.
Misbehaviour, rapes, acid attacks and murder have
killed a number of innocent women. The scenario is
characteristic to woman of all sections of society.
