Maintenance Planner
An opportunity exists at the Sheerness Mine, located South of Hanna,
Alberta for a Maintenance Planner.
Position Profile: Reporting to the Maintenance & Materials Manager, this
position is responsible for directing the activities of first line maintenance
supervisors by scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
Initiates request for parts and materials. Coordinates maintenance
activities with the warehouse, purchasing and production.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Develop job plans, schedules and cost forecasts for major mining
equipment and site services
• Coordinate preventative maintenance work with the operations
and materials department
• Maintain computerized maintenance record system (JDEdwards)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Journeyman
background. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and manufacturing systems.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Interest in maintenance
management and supervisory experience would be an asset.

Position Profile: Reporting to the Maintenance & Materials Manager, this
position is responsible for a wide range of administrative activities on site.
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting the Warehouse Buyer with requisition approvals
• Assisting the Warehouse Buyer with creating/adjusting/converting
and generating purchase orders
• Back up for Domestic Coal Sales
• Daily entry of equipment hours
• Answer and route phone calls
• General office duties including copying, filing, and scanning of
documents
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will preferably hold a Business
Certificate or equivalent with minimum of 1 year related experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, be able to work effectively with
minimal supervision and be self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal,
communication and organizational skills are a requirement. Attention to
detail is key in being successful in this position.
