Fisher’s Young Journalists! Two students from The John Fisher School have been writing monthly articles for the website ‘ThisisLocalLondon’ via the Newsquest Young Journalist competition sponsored by The Guardian. Each year over 1000 students enter the competition to write 12 articles, one a month, on local news stories to win either a prize in their category of article or the grand prize which is to have two days of hands-on work experience at The Guardian newspaper offices. Jack Rossi, Year 13 English Language and Literature student, and Oliver Gaedke, Year 11 student, have both received a letter of recognition for completing their 12 articles – an even greater challenge during these intense exam years!
