Art Exhibition @ Toyota, Croydon We were delighted to hold this year’s student Art Exhibition at Toyota’s showroom on the Purley Way. Mixed in between the cars on sale was the best work from students in Years 9-13. The exhibition was on from Thursday 18th May (6.30pm) until Monday 22nd May 4pm. In this unique event, opened by the Mayor of Croydon, a very special piece of work from student Harry Maynard was unveiled and hung in the Toyota offices (above). The piece, showcasing Toyota’s history in car development, was joined by over 25 pieces which had various themes, styles and messages. All parents/carers, students and Old Boys were invited for the private viewing and opening which also had live music from the Schools string quartet. Toyota and Lexus, Croydon, are one of the school’s commercial partners. Parents/carers and staff receive special offers (£1,000 off a new Lexus, £500 off a new Toyota, Free MOT with a service) when they mention the school and we are truly delighted to be linked with such a community minded business. Exciting times are ahead as we build even more links with Toyota and Lexus, Croydon, as well as other local businesses. Mr. R.
