Boys & Girls Club announces new Board Chairman<br />

The Boys & Girls Club of North<br />

San Luis Obispo County has appointed<br />

Todd Evenson as new board Chairman,<br />

succeeding Jeb Brown.<br />

As the co-founder and Vice President<br />

of Connect Home Loans in Paso<br />

Robles, Todd has been a prominent<br />

figure in the lending industry for the<br />

last 11 years. He has earned the respect<br />

of his clients and colleagues, as well as<br />

the respect and admiration of his fellow<br />

Boys & Girls Club board members.<br />

Todd’s passion and advocacy for the<br />

Boys & Girls Club came from his participation<br />

in the organization as a child.<br />

Todd was elected to the board of directors<br />

of the Boys & Girls Club in North<br />

SLO County in December of 2011.<br />

“I am honored to be<br />

appointed the new<br />

board Chairman,” says<br />

Todd Evenson, “I look<br />

forward to continuing<br />

the development<br />

and leadership of this<br />

organization, paved by<br />

Jeb Brown.”<br />

Todd also was a<br />

former president of a chapter<br />

of BNI, Business Network<br />

International and is on the<br />

board of directors of WaterRun, an<br />

organization that provides funding<br />

for wells in Ethiopia. Todd enjoys<br />

being involved in the community<br />

and living here on the Central Coast<br />

for 13 years with<br />

his wife and three<br />

daughters.<br />

2007. Jeb has<br />

assisted in the tremendous<br />

expansion and improvement<br />

of the Boys & Girls Club programs<br />

and services. Jeb will continue to<br />

serve on the board and continue pursuing<br />

his mission to insure youth in<br />

our community always have access to<br />

a safe and positive place to be a kid.<br />

The Boys & Girls Club of North San<br />

Luis Obispo is an after-school, educational<br />

program available to youth, ages 5-17, at<br />

an annual membership fee of only $20.<br />

The Club serves children with high-quality<br />

after school and summer programs in<br />

a safe, fun and caring environment. Children<br />

are engaged in academic, enrichment,<br />

and social activities that broaden<br />

their perspectives, develop their skills<br />

and enhance their lives. The children are<br />

inspired and enabled to realize their full<br />

potential as productive, responsible and<br />

generously awarded a<br />

grant in the amount<br />

of $2,500 to the Paso<br />

Robles Children’s Museum to help<br />

support the Museum’s Community<br />

Partner Program. This program allows<br />

the Museum to offer free access<br />

to other youth based organizations<br />

and the children and families they<br />

serve. The Museum’s Community<br />

Partners include CASA, the Boys<br />

and Girls Club, the Kinship Center,<br />

the Cancer Support Community, Big<br />

Brothers Big Sisters, Jack’s Helping<br />

Hand and the Toy Bank.<br />

600 FREE Family<br />

Play passes at<br />

the Day of Giving<br />

sponsored by the Toy Bank. Support<br />

from Central Coast Funds for<br />

Children helped to offset the cost of<br />

these FREE passes.<br />

The Children’s Museum at the Paso<br />

Robles Volunteer Firehouse, also known<br />

as The Paso Robles Children’s Museum<br />

is located at 623 13th St. in the heart<br />

of downtown Paso Robles. The nonprofit<br />

offers family-focused educational<br />

activities for the general public, as well<br />

as membership, birthday parties and<br />

school and youth group programming.<br />
