is located halfway
along George Street
in the heart of Hastings Old Town.
The shop stocks a large selection
of high quality plants for both
house and garden, alongside
hand-picked vintage items,
pots and gardening sundries.
Simply Garden was born out of a
desire to deliver the most up-tothe
minute gardening products to a
discerning clientele. With a passion
for all things horticultural and an
involvement with the world of
garden design at the highest level,
Jason and Sarah strive to bring you
the latest trends before anyone else.
The business is built around the
belief that anyone can garden,
providing they choose the correct
plants and receive the right advice
at the point of purchase. Jason &
Sarah are horticulturally trained
and can offer customers expert
guidance on all aspects of interior
and exterior growing and are always
happy to provide information to
ensure customers are well-equipped
for success with their plants. Each
plant on sale in the shop is handselected
for its quality and many
are sourced from local growers.
Jason believes that what sets Simply
Garden apart is the high level of
attention afforded to customers, “I
think it’s so important to provide
ongoing care and support to
customers. One of the main reasons
people become disheartened with
growing things is they’re not sure
how to look after a plant they’ve
bought and it subsequently dies.
I’m always available to answer
customer’s queries and I’ve even
been on home welfare visits to
check the growing conditions
and health of people’s plants!”
For Sarah, it’s all about pushing
the envelope and looking out
for the latest innovations, “two
years ago it was all about growing
succulents, then last year the trend
was for terrariums. This year I’m
experimenting with marimo moss
balls and water gardens. Every day a
new and exciting idea comes along
that can be implemented in our
indoor and outdoor gardens and
that’s what I love about my job”.

specimen plants that Simply
Garden stocks. Jason and Sarah
can offer solutions for how best
to green up your interior and
exterior spaces and you can be
confident that you will be given
honest and knowledgable advice.

As well as selling beautiful garden
products and plants from the little
green oasis in George Street, Sarah
works out of Simply Garden to
provide a full garden design and
consultation service. In addition to
being RHS trained, Sarah graduated
from the London College of Garden
Design in 2014 and has gone on to
undertake both UK and International
design commissions and has won
multiple RHS medals. Please email
