The People and
Institutions
involved
The idea of potentially
using farmers as water
managers was an element
in the Aquarius international
research project (2009-2011)
After this project was
completed, the idea was
taken up in a Danish
climate change context
by the Danish Knowledge
Centre for Agriculture
(today named SEGES),
which established a network
of stakeholders.
The involved institutions
included experts from the
Knowledge Centre for
Agriculture/SEGES together
with experts from Aarhus
University, consultancies,
agricultural organisations
representing the farmers
upstream from the town
and farmers themselves
