HER RESTORATION
After telling Jesus all that had
happened, He acknowledged her
testimony and spoke words of
great comfort to her heart that day.
Notice that in the beginning of the
narrative she is called a certain
woman but after her healing and
deliverance Jesus calls her
''daughter'' which is a name that
identifies her relationship to Him.
You see, she got more than
physical healing that day. Her
faith brought her into a soul
saving relationship with Jesus
Christ.
She was made whole. Now the word
''whole''is the same word translated
'';saved'' throughout the New
Testament. It means ''to be
rescued from all harm and
danger. and to be kept safe and
sound'';. Her issue of blood was
healed, which affected her
emotional, physical and spiritual
well –being. With one touch she
was made whole. She was restored.
CONCLUSION
Jesus then tells her to ''go in
peace.'' His comforting and
affirming words let her know that
she did nothing wrong by coming
to Him and touching Him because
for that very reason He was sent
into the earth. Now we know that
any other man or woman would
have been offended and angry if he
or she had been touched by this
unclean untouchable woman
but not Jesus!
He was not afraid of being defiled
because nothing could defile Him.
She was child of God who was in
trouble and that’s all that mattered.
And Jesus feels the same way about
us.
We are his children plagued by an
issue that we may have caused or
was caused from someone else’s
issue. Either way He says to us
Come to Me'.
