Bulgari
Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Monete
FOR HIM
Bulgari has made winning a habit. In 2014, it unveiled the world’s thinnest automatic flying tourbillon, the Octo Finissimo
Tourbillon, and followed that up in 2015 with the world’s thinnest minute repeater, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater.
Then, earlier this year, it broke out the world’s thinnest automatic watch, the Octo Finissimo Automatique. If you spot the
pattern, you’ll notice that not only is Bulgari becoming a powerhouse in the luxury mechanical watchmaking space, but
that the Octo Finissimo is also the crown collection reserved for its finest novelties.
Which is why we were suitably stoked when Bulgari recently announced an addition to the collection, this new Octo
Finissimo Tourbillon Monete. It packs a skeletonised version of the BLV268 movement, the world’s thinnest tourbillon
movement. But the reason you’ll pay top dollar for this wristwatch is the cover, hinged to the bezel at 9 o’clock, that
features an image of Emperor Constantine Augustus on the outside and a very rare and mega expensive 4th-century
Roman coin on the inside. This is a unique timepiece and Bulgari is offering up just one Monete for sale.
