Why study French at AS and A2 level?
• It combines well with any group of subjects at AS and A Level

a region of France/French community
a period of 20th Century history from France
the work of an author /dramatist/poet/director/architect/musician/painter from a French
speaking country/community
How will we be examined?
AS level
Listening, reading and writing paper – 2 hours
Oral exam – 15 minutes
A2 level
Listening , reading and writing paper – 2 hours 30 minutes
Oral exam – 15 minutes
What will we spend our time doing?
• Lots of texts on contemporary issues which we use to discuss, debate, argue, summarise, translate
• Listening to lots of audio material both CDs and live news items to broaden our l istening skills
• Grammar exercises to master the rules once and for all
• Keep track of current events in France
