Henry Howard Finance
(HHF) has teamed up with
a UK CCTV and security
distributor to offer asset
finance to businesses
seeking CCTV, fire safety
and security. Infinite
Distribution, which has been
distributing CCTV systems
since 2013, has over doubled
in size in the last 12 months.
The Letchworth Garden
City-based distributor says
its deal makes leasing agreements
available to security installers who
purchase their equipment from the
firm. Gareth Williams, account
manager at Henry Howard, said: “Our
partnership with Infinite Distribution
is an exciting development and we are

optimistic about the security sector
developing across the UK.” And
Melanie Day, business development
manager of Infinite Distribution said:
“We aim to support our partners
across the UK by developing our
services and products, and achieving
our ambitious sales and growth targets
with a new range of leasing solutions.
We recognise that that the ability to
offer finance will support and increase
our installer sales, and in turn help
smaller businesses, who might not
be in the position to invest a large
amount of working capital upfront.”
Approved installers will be given
access to HHF’s online lease portal
‘HowApp’, providing automated
credit decisions and agreements that
can be completed with e-signatures at
point of sale. p
Alarm scheme
A residential fire and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms company
reports training 14,000 customers across the UK; 2,500 of those in
the first half of 2017. Launched in 2008, originally under the name
of AFPTIS, Expert Installer is a modular training scheme by Aico
Ltd. Made for domestic alarm specifiers and installers, it covers
standards and regulations, and alarm system design and installation.
Recently it received CPD accreditation. Training can be held at the
customer’s premises, at Aico in Oswestry, or in one of the company’s
new vehicles. Neal Hooper, MD of Aico, said: “We manufacture life
saving devices so it’s important that the right alarms are specified
and installed and maintained correctly to protect people within their
homes.” p
Partner showcase
The network video product company
Axis Communications is running its
next ‘Partner Showcase’ open day,
on October 11, at Tatton Park outside
Manchester. Products from 35 vendors
complement Axis’. The firm says that
solutions go beyond security to retail
analytics, behavioural analysis, and
sustainability, to trends such as hosted
services and cybersecurity. The event
will include Morphean, Milestone
Systems, Genetec and Assa Abloy,
and is aimed at installers. It follows
a first showcase in 2015. Daren
Lang, Regional Manager, Business
Development, Northern Europe at
Axis, says: “As connectivity and the
integration of products continues, the
security needs of businesses change –
opening up new possibilities. Instead
of focussing on surveillance alone,
businesses are increasingly seeking
ways in which smart systems can be
integrated, ensuring technology is
flexible and future facing.” p
New premises
Oprema, the UK multi-brand distributor of security
equipment, has moved to a new 15,000 sq ft
premises after securing an £850,000 co-investment
from HSBC and Finance Wales. The Cardiffbased
firm says it’s creating 15 new jobs. Pictured

Ltd has recently been certified by
the Loss Prevention Certification
Board (LPCB). The Ipswich-based,
family-owned company says only a
handful of fire suppression product
suppliers have achieved the LPCB
Standard LPS1666. Firetrace Ltd are
the only UK valve manufacturing
company to gain the accreditation.
The LPCB is an international
certification body for security and fire
protection products. LPCB approval
is recognised by governments and
regulators, especially in Europe, Asia-
Pacific, and the Middle East. The new
standard was developed by the LPCB
to endorse performance of direct
pneumatic tube-based suppression
systems. p
