Pursuant to M.G.L., Ch. 40A, §5, the Rowley Planning Board will hold<br />

Rowley Protective Zoning Bylaw, and the Rowley Planning Board<br />
Rules and Regulations, the Rowley Planning Board will hold a public<br />
hearing on Wednesday, September 27, 20<strong>17</strong>, at 7:45 p.m. in Meeting<br />
Room #5 in the downstairs of the Town Hall Annex building located at<br />
39 Central Street, Rowley, MA, pertaining to Special Permit and Site<br />
Plan Review applications involving the construction of a 4,000 squarefoot<br />
accessory barn building (larger than 1,500 square feet accessory to<br />
the primary residential use).<br />
The application is being submitted by ASB Design Group, LLC, on<br />
behalf of Douglas Stone, the applicant and prospective owner, and, the<br />
Lucia Herrick Realty Trust, the current property owner. The subject<br />
parcel consisting of 1.95 acres is located in the Outlying (OD) Zoning<br />
District.<br />
Approval of Special Permit and Site Plan Review applications are<br />
required for the construction of buildings larger than 1,500 square feet,<br />
accessory to a dwelling unit in the Outlying (OD) Zoning District pursuant<br />
to Section 4.8.1(h) of the Rowley Protective Zoning Bylaw. The<br />

EVENING LECTURE<br />
As part of the Ipswich Museum’s<br />
Wednesday evening lecture series, Susan<br />
Hill Dolan of the Trustees will speak on<br />
September 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Heard<br />
House, 54 So. Main St., Ipswich, about<br />
bringing the Crane mansion and its<br />
spectacular grounds back to life. Following<br />
a major capital campaign, the first floor<br />
of the Great House has been spruced up<br />
(for the first time since the Crane era),<br />
new conservation work carried out, and<br />
house tours revamped. Also on hand<br />
will be the Trustees’ new horticulturist,<br />
Benjamin Carroll, who was instrumental<br />
in transforming the Italian Garden and<br />
replanting the old Rose Garden and<br />
