Zain Group awarded 2016
Finance Team of the Year
Mobile telecoms company, Zain, won
the Best Finance Team of the Year
award for 2016 at the annual MENA CFO
Excellence Awards held in Dubai on
Monday 7th November 2016. The event
was organized by “Naseba Group” and the
award is bestowed on a finance team who
played an instrumental role in contributing
to the success of their organization.
In presenting the award, the Naseba
judging panel stated that the Zain finance
team, “Demonstrated a transparent and
proactive approach to balancing time
between managing a large amount of
data and information requirements with
business analysis, as well as delivering
timely financial information and proposing
innovative solutions to overcome existing
challenges, bolstering the company’s
transformation strategy to become a digital
lifestyle operator.”

Telecoms Operator Signs
MoU with Ministry of Labor
and Social Development
Zain Bahrain, has signed a
memorandum of understanding (MoU)
with the Ministry of Labor and Social
Development to collaborate in the area of
human resources. Zain Bahrain and the
Ministry will work together on a number
of projects, including a personality-based
aptitude test, which the operator will
provide to students and job seekers who
wish to assess their strengths and choose
suitable career paths.

Development, Jameel bin Mohammad Ali
Humaidan said: “Zain Bahrain is widely
considered an employer of choice in the
Kingdom of Bahrain and we are proud to
be working with them on projects that
will benefit the Bahraini labor force as a
whole. It is a company with a very high
Bahrainization rate, at almost 90 per
cent, which has also proven itself to be a
pioneer when it comes to the training and
development of its employees.”

Latest Edition of the
Galaxy A8 Launched
Samsung has launched the 2016 edition
of the Galaxy A8. The smartphone is
driven by an Octacore processor with 3GB
RAM and 32GB storage internal memory.
It features a 5.7-inch Full HD Super
AMOLED Gorilla Glass 2.5D display, a 16
MP rear and 8 MP front camera, powered
by a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast
charging. Running on Android 6.0.1, the
2016 edition boasts of a metal uni-body
design and fingerprint scanner.

The 16 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras
both featuring f/1.9 aperture take crisp,
brighter and very vivid images. The Wide
Selfie function gives you a huge 103°

front camera. Its Rear Cam Selfie function
automatically detects the subject’s face.
The smartphone has advanced selfie
features including Ultra Wide Shot,
GIF shooting modes and Auto Selfie
Modes - Palm and Voice Selfie. With the
‘Beautifying effect’ you can even retouch
facial features, such as slimming the face
or enlarging eyes.
The Always On Display, first seen on
the Galaxy S7, lets you see your latest
notifications and other key information
immediately without waking the screen,
using less than one percent per hour.
It also has a microSD slot that can
accommodate up to 256GB.
The phone is available in Blue, Silver
and Gold at a recommended retail price of
BHD 180.
