Opens Gelato Store<br />
Bahraini banker Ahmed Abdul Latif<br />
launched Dolce Gelato, for Italian<br />
ice cream, in Saar Mall this month.<br />
“Because I love desserts and ice creams<br />
so much, I got the idea to open a gelato<br />
store,” says Abdul Latif.<br />
He went to Italy and conducted<br />
research on how to start this business<br />
and then began work on the project.<br />
Abdul Latif also rebranded the<br />
trademark Gelato customers are used to<br />
and aimed to create new options.<br />
“To make it more fresh, more<br />
colorful and healthier for children,” he<br />
stated.<br />
Offering natural flavors, without<br />
artificial coloring and with limited<br />
preservatives provides a healthier treat,<br />
feels Abdul Latif.<br />
Dolce Gelato combines flavors that<br />
are international and local, such as<br />
rose, orange blossom and saffron. Abdul<br />
Latif also participated in the Gelato<br />
World Tour and came out second in the<br />
Middle East two years ago. He advises<br />
entrepreneurs to exercise patience in<br />
their work and to never give up.<br />
“ When you open a business, you<br />
think that opening a business is the<br />
challenge,” he says, “but it is nothing.<br />
Keeping the business on its feet, and<br />
developing it, this is the challenge.<br />
And it is a challenge you’ll be facing<br />
everyday. So don’t give up.”<br />
Capital Club Celebrates<br />
7th Anniversary<br />
Dazzling celebrity glamour enveloped<br />
the atmosphere as Capital<br />
Club Bahrain (CCB) marked its 7th<br />
anniversary in a Hollywood-style party<br />
on Thursday, November 3.<br />
The event took place at the Club’s<br />
premise situated at in the Bahrain<br />
Financial Harbour and was attended<br />
by over 400 guests from Bahrain and<br />
around the region. The attendees<br />
included the Directors, Board of<br />
Governors, Club Members and invited<br />
guests.<br />
The entertainment was spread over<br />
two floors with a jazz band, DJs, and<br />
each meeting room was transformed<br />
with a celebrity theme centered on<br />
actors and actresses including Michael<br />
Jackson and Marilyn Monroe.<br />
“Over the span of seven years<br />
the Club has gone from strength to<br />
strength, flying the flag high as the<br />
premier business club in the Kingdom<br />
of Bahrain. We have achieved many<br />
milestones, and have exciting plans to<br />
bring more events and international<br />
speakers to provide our members with<br />
an enriching corporate experience,” said<br />
CCB’s General Manager Sumeet Jhingan.<br />
“We would like to express our<br />
gratitude to the Board of Governors,<br />
Founding Members, Members, and<br />
Directors for their staunch support to<br />
which the Club credits its success,” he<br />
added.<br />

To commemorate the momentous<br />
occasion, a special fragrance was<br />
concocted exclusively to mark the 7th<br />
anniversary by perfume brand Dar<br />
Al Teeb. The sophisticated scent and<br />
reflects on the essence of the Club’s<br />
fantastic journey, capturing all the<br />
emotions gathered over the years and<br />
presented in a charming bottle as a<br />
forever memento.<br />
“Having witnessed a continuous<br />
streak of demand from business groups<br />
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are<br />
going to be spearheading a dedicated<br />
team for the eastern province which will<br />
allow frequent business opportunities<br />
for Bahrainis to engage in talks with<br />
Saudi partners. We want to be mediators<br />
for such exchanges,” explained Sumeet.<br />
The Capital Club has over 880<br />
members, and continues to grow as a<br />
premier business destination which<br />
facilitates prolific business exchanges in<br />
a dynamic business environment.<br />
