Opens Gelato Store
Bahraini banker Ahmed Abdul Latif
launched Dolce Gelato, for Italian
ice cream, in Saar Mall this month.
“Because I love desserts and ice creams
so much, I got the idea to open a gelato
store,” says Abdul Latif.
He went to Italy and conducted
research on how to start this business
and then began work on the project.
Abdul Latif also rebranded the
trademark Gelato customers are used to
and aimed to create new options.
“To make it more fresh, more
colorful and healthier for children,” he
stated.
Offering natural flavors, without
artificial coloring and with limited
preservatives provides a healthier treat,
feels Abdul Latif.
Dolce Gelato combines flavors that
are international and local, such as
rose, orange blossom and saffron. Abdul
Latif also participated in the Gelato
World Tour and came out second in the
Middle East two years ago. He advises
entrepreneurs to exercise patience in
their work and to never give up.
“ When you open a business, you
think that opening a business is the
challenge,” he says, “but it is nothing.
Keeping the business on its feet, and
developing it, this is the challenge.
And it is a challenge you’ll be facing
everyday. So don’t give up.”
Capital Club Celebrates
7th Anniversary
Dazzling celebrity glamour enveloped
the atmosphere as Capital
Club Bahrain (CCB) marked its 7th
anniversary in a Hollywood-style party
on Thursday, November 3.
The event took place at the Club’s
premise situated at in the Bahrain
Financial Harbour and was attended
by over 400 guests from Bahrain and
around the region. The attendees
included the Directors, Board of
Governors, Club Members and invited
guests.
The entertainment was spread over
two floors with a jazz band, DJs, and
each meeting room was transformed
with a celebrity theme centered on
actors and actresses including Michael
Jackson and Marilyn Monroe.
“Over the span of seven years
the Club has gone from strength to
strength, flying the flag high as the
premier business club in the Kingdom
of Bahrain. We have achieved many
milestones, and have exciting plans to
bring more events and international
speakers to provide our members with
an enriching corporate experience,” said
CCB’s General Manager Sumeet Jhingan.
“We would like to express our
gratitude to the Board of Governors,
Founding Members, Members, and
Directors for their staunch support to
which the Club credits its success,” he
added.
Major recognition for
Bahrain's technological

To commemorate the momentous
occasion, a special fragrance was
concocted exclusively to mark the 7th
anniversary by perfume brand Dar
Al Teeb. The sophisticated scent and
reflects on the essence of the Club’s
fantastic journey, capturing all the
emotions gathered over the years and
presented in a charming bottle as a
forever memento.
“Having witnessed a continuous
streak of demand from business groups
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are
going to be spearheading a dedicated
team for the eastern province which will
allow frequent business opportunities
for Bahrainis to engage in talks with
Saudi partners. We want to be mediators
for such exchanges,” explained Sumeet.
The Capital Club has over 880
members, and continues to grow as a
premier business destination which
facilitates prolific business exchanges in
a dynamic business environment.
