19. A large wineglass, the bell bowl with solid base over a sevenring annulated knop stem with base knop on a folded foot. English c.1720-25 Height 17.2 cm Provenance: Delomosne & Son Ltd. The seven-ring annular knop is the rarest in this sub-family. Here is a superb example with a generous and almost perfectly symmetrical knop. A very good glass indeed. !28
20. A wineglass with cup-shaped double ogee bowl on a teared inverted baluster stem and folded foot. English c.1720-30 Height 13 cm A rare glass with exaggerated double ogee bowl, so scarce at that time. A very similar or possibly the same glass is illustrated in Francis, Grant, R., Old English Drinking Glasses: Their Chronology and Sequence, Herbert Jenkins Ltd., London, 1926, pl. V, fig. 25 and again in Bickerton, L. M., Eighteenth Century English Drinking Glasses: An Illustrated Guide, Antique Collectors’ Club, Woodbridge, 1971, no. 57, pl. 65. There is a small open bubble to the outside of the bowl. !29
