23. A rare wineglass, the round funnel bowl with centre knop over half knop, the stem with good egg knop and tear with base knop on a folded foot. English c. 1710-15 Height 17.1 cm Collections: Illustrated: Roy Dunstan. Dr Clarence Lewis. The Baluster Family, Delomosne & Son Ltd, London, 1985, no. 14. An excellent example of an egg knop, often considered to be the rarest of all. It did not always lend itself to an elegant design but here it has worked very well. A fine and rare glass. The glass rocks slightly but it stands straight. !32
24. A fine and rare large wineglass, the trumpet bowl with solid base and tear on a cylinder knop stem with central tear, collar and flattened knop on a domed and folded foot. English c. 1715 Collection: Illustrated: Height 18.6 cm Dr Clarence Lewis. The Baluster Family, Delomosne & Son Ltd, London, 1985, no. 13b. A superb example of a cylinder knop in the classic layout. The cylinder itself is beautifully and generously made. There is slight wear to the interior of the bowl. !33
