Tim Briggs-Mould
NG Bailey’s IT Services
division has appointed
Ministry of Defence (MoD)
veteran Tim Briggs-Mould
to the position of defence
operations director to
oversee the firm’s existing
defence contracts.
Having served in the
Royal Navy for 37 years, Briggs-Mould joins the
business from the MoD where he has spent the
last five years working as head of the British
Forces’ Cyprus CIS branch and also as head of
information systems and services in Cyprus.
An experienced communications specialist in
the maritime field, Briggs-Mould is well versed
in the delivery and maintenance of IT services
and infrastructure, having overseen the CIS
transformation of Cyprus into what is now a
modern, capable and versatile hub for
operations in the Levant.
“NG Bailey’s IT Services division harbours
over a decade’s worth of specialist experience
in delivering structured cabling contracts to the
defence industry and continues to play a critical
role in the sector’s digital transformation,”
commented Briggs-Mould. “Few IT services
firms can claim to have over 200 engineers
actively supporting current defence contracts.
I’m very excited to be joining a business that’s
so engaged in my specialist sector.”
Briggs-Mould will report directly to Kelly
Tedesco, business development director for IT
Services, who stated: “Digital transformation in
the defence sector remains a key growth area
for us. Providing effective IT services to this
sector requires a depth of knowledge and
awareness that only a defence specialist can
deliver. Tim’s experience will help us to ensure
that we remain at the forefront of this sector.”
Graham Lowe
Life safety solutions manufacturer Hochiki
Europe (UK) has appointed Graham Lowe as
its new managing director. Lowe – who
previously held the position of sales director –
has worked for the business for more than 20
years and, in total, has built up four decades
of experience within the life safety industry.
Lowe’s appointment is announced in the
wake of a successful financial year at Hochiki
Europe, with the business celebrating a record
annual turnover for 2016-2017.
Lowe joined Hochiki Europe in 1996 as
regional sales manager for the Northern
region. Throughout his career, which has been
spent in various roles within the company,

Liam Bateman
Evidence Talks, the Milton Keynes-based digital
forensic triage specialist, has made two new
appointments to strengthen the company’s
presence in the digital forensics sector. The
move sees Liam Bateman appointed as principal
forensic consultant and Laura Allen in the role
of sales consultant.
Combining a strong background in IT security
with a specialism in forensic analysis, Bateman
joins from risk management company Advanced
Discovery (previously Millnet). After more than
15 years of investigating computer crime and
performing forensic investigations at the
highest level, Bateman’s outstanding track
record combines successes in the presentation
of evidence in criminal and legal proceedings
and in leading incident response projects, as
well as in finance, sales and technology.
As principal forensic consultant, Bateman will
conduct all of the company’s forensic service
work, drive growth into the eDiscovery market
and lead Evidence Talks through the ISO 17025
process. He’ll also be involved in R&D and help
to create new product technical specifications.
Joining the business as a recent graduate in
Criminology from the University of Leicester,
Laura Allen will assist with the planning and
tactical implementation of sales and marketing
initiatives. While taking a lead in managing the
company’s digital content strategy, Allen will
also be involved in business development and
ongoing initiatives that add value for resellers.
Lowe has developed expertise in all aspects of
the life safety industry – from electrical
engineering and the design of fire detection
systems right through to specific sales and
senior management tasks.
Commenting on his appointment, Lowe
informed Risk UK: “Over the last decade,
Hochiki Europe has continued to lead the way
in the design and manufacture of innovative
life safety solutions. This last year has been an
especially exciting one for the business. We
were able to strengthen our position in the
Italian market with the acquisition of Device
and Electronic Systems (DES srl) and the
creation of Hochiki Italia. We also increased
our presence in Africa by investing in our sales
team presence in the region.”
